The CCIB and the UPC sign two collaboration agreements

The International Convention Center of Barcelona (CCIB), located in the Fòrum, shares with a university this large privileged area facing the sea. A few meters from our Center stands the Diagonal-Besòs Campus of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), where the Barcelona East School of Engineering (EEBE) is located. Like us, they energize the neighborhood and favor the environment with a powerful university knowledge and research campus. Now, we have gone a step further with two collaboration agreements signed between the CCIB general manager of the CCIB, Marc Rodríguez, the UPC rector, Francesc Torres, and the EEBE director, Adriana Farran.

The first agreement establishes the collaboration to celebrate, in our Fòrum Auditorium, the graduation ceremony of the EEBE promotion of this 2018-20019 academic year. In the brief ceremony, held in the building of the UPC Rectorate located in its North Campus, we have also signed a second agreement to encourage collaboration between the CCIB and the UPC. In this sense, the CCIB offers the facilities so that the students can use them as a laboratory/workspace and development of Final Degree Projects or Masters. This agreement also foresees collaboration in projects of common interest and exchange of spaces that improve the objectives of both institutions, without commercial purposes.

Also attended the signing ceremony the EEBE academic secretary, Beatriz Giraldo, the CCIB commercial and marketing director, Carolina Garcia, and the CCIB director of Facility, Philippe Mesnard.
