Auditorio 3

Take a note of the diary and! Let’s start the music!

Traditionally, the greats of music come to Barcelona, one of the main tourist and cultural centers of reference in southern Europe. For that reason, the international tours of multitudinous concerts include the city in their calendar, and they do it in spaces of first order that can accommodate a large audience. Among its features, the Auditorium Forum is the largest capacity in the city (3,048 seats), so year after year its entertainment program is rich and mixed.

After the beginning of the year with renowned international artists -such as Sweet California, Steven Wilson and Joe Satriani-, but also headliners of music in Spanish -such as Sergio Dalma, Rosario and Ismael Serrano-, a year of successes chained continues.

The protagonist of the month of May is the Primavera Sound, one of the longest-running festivals in Barcelona and of better prestige for the quality of its selection of bands. Although in summer, taking advantage of the benevolent climate, many musical shows are “moved” to open-air venues, Paco Candela has found in the Forum Auditorium a structure adapted to the depth of his fandangos, tangos, sevillanas or rumbas and more suitable for his flamenco art.

An end of 2018 full of concerts

The last quarter of the year match with the high season of the musical world. The auditorium of the CCIB was not going to be less, and for that reason it will receive different shows with the same denominator: quality music. In October Los Secretos celebrate the 40th anniversary of the race with a single tour of only 6 concerts in the Spanish geography; a whole generation awaits his returns to live. November will be witness to GospelFest, a solidarity event in the form of a participatory concert with a choir of 1.000 voices, a challenge!

We will close 2018 with multiple musical appointments, which will put the finishing touch on an exceptional year. Games & Symphonies will survey the soundtracks of the most popular video games, in a multimedia format that will surprise the audience. Also, Pica-Pica and Cantajuegos, aimed at children and young people, can generate the greatest admiration. Although, if we speak of mythical figures, none like Joan Manuel Serrat, one of the most acclaimed and wonderful songwriters of the song in Spanish, legend of an era.
